The choir's regular accompanist is Roy Everett, who joined as a bass in the late 1970s and soon came to deputize for the regular accompanist and resident coach driver H N (Jimmy) James, especially when Jimmy was off on one of his numerous train-spotting jaunts around the world, Roy is now the Assistant Conductor for the choir.
Roy specializes in sight-reading, and is often called upon at short notice to accompany a wide variety of musical groups along the A12 corridor.
He can also be found accompanying solo singers, instrumentalists and ensembles at competitions, examinations and concerts around Ipswich.
