A Choral Society is an organised body of amateur singers who meet regularly to perform choral music. Still as true today as it was in 1824 when Ipswich Choral Society was first formed.
Currently around 100 members meet on Tuesdays to enjoy singing a wide variety of choral music in the friendly company of like-minded singers. Rehearsals are followed by a visit to a local pub to continue the active social scene of the choir!
Whether you wanting to meet new people, dusting down your singing skills or looking to try something exciting and challenging, you’ll receive a warm welcome from Ipswich Choral Society members. Come along to a rehearsal on Tuesday evenings at Northgate Arts Centre to see for yourself with no pressure to join. Our voice section reps will be on hand to help with any queries you may have.
If you are a non-singer, you can still get involved with Ipswich Choral Society, there are several different ways you can help:
- Volunteer to help at concerts and other events
- Become a Patron or Friend
- Become a Corporate Sponsor
- Advertise in our programmes
- Purchase items from our fundraising efforts or affiliated partner links.
